There are new emails circulating that you have virus on your Computer/Laptop/Mobile Phones. It can have Norton or any other Company written on it.

What do you do if you get a text message with a link. If you click it, it takes you to a page which looks like it is from Google Store. This is not from Google Store. Please do not entertain it. Delete the link. Let your colleagues know. Only download applications from the Google Play Store.

!! Be aware of phony emails perpetrating as Tax refunds !!
We in UK fill our tax returns and lodge them by end of January every year.
Inland Revenue (HMRC) and BBC will NEVER send Emails to any one regarding refunds, tax overdue or TV licences. They will not phone you either. Please mark these emails as spam and delete them.
You will receive genuine Reminders by post from all companies.
The attacks come from both internet browsing, emails and phone calls too.
All computers should have an anti virus and security software (application) to stop malicious sites masquerading as originals.
Computer professionals in cyber security advise more than one application to stop your Digital hardware being compromised. There are many anti-security applications around. You should look for ones which block malware, pop ups and advertising. One of them is Malawarebytes. This will block bad sites and also stop pop ups, advertising pops etc. There are others i.e. Norton Security, McCafee and many others. It is better to purchase these applications. These should be installed on both Computers and Smart Mobiles. Many companies sell software which can be used for 3, 5, 10 or 20 devices.
Think of it as extra locks you are purchasing to keep your hardware safe.

Put these emails into spam folder and then delete them and empty them!
DO NOT Click on to the links.
DO NOT reply to tell them to stop sending you emails. This way, once you reply, they know that your email address is active. You will then start receiving many spam emails.
Steps to take:
1. Change your passwords frequently.
2. Make them difficult so no one can guess.
