On 24th September 2020 Harrow Council closed the Francis Road before the underpass. The reasons cited in their leaflet:
causing environmental and safety problems for residents.
Common Sense says: this is the case with all the roads where residents live in United Kingdom.
In October 2020 Harrow Space LTN furnished an update with detailed information. Very interesting read.Click to Download LTN October 2020 Update Clicking will Download file in your Download Folder on your Device.
GMRA representatives will have distributed Leaflets by now, so our residents can give their view. We will then put together the forms received by you to present them to the Harrow Council. Please fill them in and return to the address on the form by 15th January 2021. Let our voices be heard.
The above diagram is from Harrow Council's Website. Your voice, when added to it, will help. Download GMRA Member's Survey for Francis Road, fill it in and deliver it to the address mentioned at the bottom of the form by 15th January 2021.
GMRA residents can also go online to voice their concerns on the formal Harrow Street Space Website as that is what Harrow Council is using to collate feedback and will be a major deciding factor in keeping or removing the Francis Road roadblock.
Many residents of GMRA have suffered longer journey times to go to shops like Tesco and to Pinner, South Harrow, Harrow and Wealdstone, Harrow Weald, North Harrow, Watford, Uxbridge etc. This has created traffic jams on Northwick Park Road, Bonnersfield Lane and finally Sheepcote Road coming from the Northwick Park Hospital roundabout towards Station Road.
This is causing environmental and safety problems for residents on these roads too!
Below are some visuals which show how much inconveniences, loss of time and wasting of Tax Payers' money, LTN have caused.

Loss of Residents' Time!
The above 59 seconds Video of Drag Racing was taken by a resident, in the middle of the night, after the blocking of Francis Road.

Harrow Council's 20mph is not working. Will Harrow Council do anything about this?
Speed bumps should have been Harrow Council's first choice to bring down the pollution !!
